When they say that prior authorization will not longer require, does this also include getting OPTUM authorization? Or do we still need to get OPTUM authorization for these patients?
If you have specific questions regarding UHC and Optum, you need to contact the insurance carrier.
Did they just say that Optum auth isn’t needed for UHC because they are switching to InterQual? Just checking if it was just a switch or a full “no more auth needed” situation 🙁
You would want to check with Optum.
