Is it acceptable for the PCM to refer to a specific outpatient physical therapy clinic within the network and the contractor issue the authorization for another outpatient physical therapy clinic within the network?
You would want to speak with the contractor and express your concerns with them.
For Tricare Select, can you explain a little further. No referral is needed. If a podiatrist is not involved and the patient self refers, can you send in a claim?
