Please join us as Gawenda Seminars & Consulting, Inc. presents “PQRS 2016 for Physical & Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology Services” webinar conference on January 6, 2016 from 1:00PM – 3:00PM eastern standard time. Calendar year 2016 once again has no bonus payment for participating in Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) but if physical and occupational therapists in private practice as well as speech-language pathologists in private practice do not successfully report PQRS measures in 2016, either as an individual or has a group practice, they will have a -2% reduction in their 2018 payments from the Medicare program.

One registration allows as many people to watch and listen to the webinar on one computer and/or phone line and each participant would be eligible to print off a certificate of attendance that may be eligible for 2.0 CEUs from your state board or national association. If your computer has no speaker or you unable to be at a computer, you can still call in to the phone number provided to hear the audio portion and follow along with the handout in pdf format.
Can’t Listen Live on January 6th? Not a problem. Register for the webinar, email us after the webinar stating no one was able to call in and listen live or log in via the computer, we will verify, and then send you a playback link of the actual live presentation along with the handouts. The playback link can be viewed on your computer as many times as you would like and audio comes through your computer speakers.
Physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists who bill Medicare for outpatient therapy services in private practice settings must participate successfully in the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) in 2016 in order to avoid a 2.0% reduction in payment from the Medicare program in 2018. To avoid the penalty in 2018, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists must report on 50% of eligible Medicare patients, either as an individual eligible professional or as a group practice.
At the completion of this webinar, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify the quality measures for 2016 that apply to physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists in private practice
2. Recognize the distinction between reporting the individual measures and the group measures
3. Identify how often measures must be reported and when they must be reported
4. Understand the consequences of not successfully reporting in 2016 and its impact on your 2018 payment
5. Discuss what must be documented in the medical record to support the measures reported
