Are the caregiver training code details included in the broader 2025 Outpatient Therapy regulatory and Payment Updates Seminar?
Yes, they are in the webinar I did on November 27, 2024.
You reference the caregiver codes counting towards the total annual therapy threshold. How does this apply when used with commercial insurance plans? Is it counted as a visit? Can CTS be billed on the same day as treatment? I thought there was a caveat they could not be billed on the same date as a treatment session.
You would need to check with the insurance carrier to determine if it counts as a visit or not. The Medicare program allows the CTS to be billed on the same date of service as treatment codes.
