CMS Releases FY 2025 SNF Final Rule
On July 31, 2024, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the fiscal year (FY) 2025 Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) final rule. Highlights of the final rule include the following:
- Increasing SNF payments by 4.2%
- Changes in Patient-Driven Payment Model ICD-10 Code Mappings
- Changes CMS’ enforcement policies to impose more equitable and consistent civil monetary penalties (CMPs) for health and safety violations
- Updates to the SNF Quality Reporting Program (QRP)
- Updates to the SNF Value-Based Purchasing Program
