CMS Releases FY 2025 IRF Final Rule
On July 31, 2024, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the fiscal year (FY) 2025 Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) final rule. Highlights of the final rule include the following:
- Updated the IRF prospective payment system payment rates (PPS) by 3%
- Finalized updates to the IRF Quality Reporting Program. CMS finalized adding four assessment items, modifying one assessment item, and removing one from the IRF-Patient Assessment Instrument (PAI).
