Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) of North Carolina has expanded reimbursement for all services delivered through telehealth that meets the criteria outlined in the attached document. To access this document, click HERE.

BCBS of North Carolina states the following on their website:

  • If you’re an in-network Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) provider in North Carolina, all visits you would usually perform in-person can be done virtually and paid at parity.
  • This applies to visits that occurred on or after March 6, 2020.
  • We made you a tip sheet of how to code, including example clinical scenarios, and linked to our updated telehealth policy here: https://www.bluecrossnc.com/provider-news/covid-19-additional-details-about-relief-efforts
  • This applies across care settings, and to Medicare Advantage and all commercial lines of business, except for Federal Employee Program (FEP) members whose telehealth benefits can be found here.
