Hi Rick, Your article indicates the extension of telehealth is available to both hospital outpatient departments & private practice. Is there a specific reference in the waiver in addition to the extension of the geographic flexibility (section 3206) & the therapy provider flexibility (section 3207 a & b) that specifically indicates hospital outpatient rehab depts are included in the telehealth extension? I am attempting to mitigate confusion over OPPS regulations, the ARA 2025, and how it affects OP Rehab despite OP hospital rehab being reimbursed under PFS. Thank You.
You would need to read Section 3207 and then go to the SSA that is referenced in that section. Therapists in hospitals can do telehealth through the new deadline.
Thank you for the direction. I found the reference:) Much Appreciation!
Rick – Is there any verification that this includes Medicaid patients or is this only for Medicare patients?
The legislation is for original Medicare.
Does it seem like there is enough support to reverse the Medicare cuts in the March Bill?
We will know better in March.
