Date: March 19,2026
Beginning with dates of service on and after January 1, 2027, speech-language pathologists (SLPs) will have 10 new CPT codes to report for speech therapy services. The descriptors for each of the codes have been released. In this article, I will provide the descriptors for each of the codes as well as the proposed work relative value units (RVUs).

How will the subsequent codes work with current 8 min rule?
Would need to provide at least 8 minutes and do past midpoint.
I would assume changing a TEP or making a modification to a TEP would fall under 92x8x or 92x9x (voice & upper airway treatment). Is there a way to confirm?
At this time, not a way to confirm. Stay tuned!
