2017 Annual Update to the Therapy Code List
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released their annual update to the physical, occupational and speech therapy code list for providers of outpatient therapy services. This would include the following settings:
- Private Practice
- Skilled Nursing Facilities
- Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities
- Rehabilitation Agencies
- Home Health Agencies providing Part B in the home
- Hospital Outpatient Departments including Medicare patients seen in the emergency department and under observation status
CMS has added the following CPT codes to the list of “always therapy” codes:
